This is the top most area of your blog homepage.
It’s arguably the most important section of your blog as it determines what your visitor’s first impression will be.
First, you’ll need to log into your blog following these instructions.
That will take you to the dashboard of your site.
Open your site in a new tab, and you will see a black bar with editing options as shown below:
Click “Edit Page” and it will take you to the screen shown below:
Scroll downwards, until you see the section named “WELCOME SECTION,” then click on the three horizontal lines on the grey area shown below:
That will take you to the next screen where you’ll need to click on three horizontal lines again:
On the next screen, you’ll see where to edit all the different options in the welcome section.
NOTE: You’ll only need to edit the settings mentioned in this tutorial. Everything else you can leave as is, since we’ve already optimized the theme for you.
Point your mouse cursor on the grey line shown below, and drag it to scroll downwards.
Here, you can edit the HEADING, and BUTTON TEXT.
As you continue to scroll downwards, you’ll see the option to edit the BUTTON URL and upload a BACKGROUND IMAGE (recommended size 1920 x 1280 pixels)
Towards the bottom of that screen where is says CONTENT, you’ll see the option to edit the paragraph that shows up in your welcome section.
For detailed instructions on how to navigate the content editor, you can refer to this tutorial.
When you’ve finished editing, click on the green SAVE button, and on the next screen click SAVE & EXIT.
Finally click the blue UPDATE button to save all your changes.
Alternatively, you can use the VISUAL EDITOR to customize this section on the front end of your site. Click here for instructions on how to do that.
